This document provides a detailed step-by-step guide on how users can search for jobs in the Middleman App using different filters, including category, subcategory, and state parameters.

🚀 How to Search for Jobs​

To find a job that matches your skills and location, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Middleman App.
  2. Navigate to the Job Search section.
  3. You will see the search bar and filter options.
  4. Enter or select the relevant filters:
    • Category → The type of job (e.g., Cleaner, Electrician, Plumber).
    • Subcategory → A more specific type of job within the category (e.g., Carpet Cleaning, Electrical Wiring).
    • State/County → The location where the job is available.
  5. Tap the Search button.
  6. A list of available jobs matching your criteria will be displayed.

📌 Search Filters & Parameters​

🚨 Note: If no filters are selected, the system will show all open jobs across all locations.

📄 Viewing Job Details​

Once you find a job from the search results, you can tap on it to view detailed information, including:

  • Job Title → The name of the job.
  • Category & Subcategory → The type of work required.
  • Job Start Date → When the job is expected to begin.
  • Job Stage → The purpose of the job (e.g., "I need a quote for insurance purposes").
  • Authorized By → Who is posting the job (e.g., Homeowner, Landlord).
  • Job Description → Detailed information about the work needed.
  • Location → The state or county where the job is located.
  • Contact Details (if allowed by the job poster).

🚀 Tip: If you find a job that interests you, you can:

  • Place a Bid to submit an offer.
  • Save the Job to your Favorites for later reference.

🛠 Managing Search Results​

1️⃣ Sorting & Filtering​

  • Users can refine their job search results by:
    • Sorting by Date → Newest or oldest jobs first.
    • Sorting by Budget → High-to-low or low-to-high pricing.
    • Sorting by Location → Closest jobs first.

2️⃣ Saving Search Preferences​

  • Users can save their frequently used search filters for quick access.
  • Steps to save a search filter:
    1. Apply the desired filters.
    2. Tap the Save Filter button.
    3. The filter will be available in the Saved Searches section.

3️⃣ Receiving Notifications for New Jobs​

  • Users can enable job alerts based on selected filters.
  • When a new job is posted matching the criteria, a notification will be sent.

🚨 Note: Notifications can be turned on/off in Settings > Job Alerts.
