This document provides a detailed guide on how users can view and manage all the jobs they have created through the Middleman App. It allows users to track job progress, update job details, and manage responses from professionals.
π How to Access My Jobsβ
To view all the jobs you have created, follow these steps:
- Open the Middleman App.
- Navigate to the My Jobs section from the main menu.
- You will see a list of all the jobs you have posted.
- Each job will display its status, category, subcategory, and key details.
- You can click on any job to view more details, edit, or manage responses.
π Job List Overviewβ
When you access the My Jobs section, you will see a list of all the jobs you have created. Each job entry will display the following details:

Job ID | A unique identifier for the job. |
Category | The selected job category (e.g., Cleaner, Plumber). |
Subcategory | The specific service under the category (e.g., Carpet Cleaning). |
Job Start | The preferred timeframe for starting the job. |
Job Stage | Indicates whether the user needs a quote, advice, or has a completed job. |
Authorized By | The userβs role in the job (e.g., Landlord, Tenant, Property Manager). |
Job Status | The current state of the job (e.g., Open, In Progress, Completed, Canceled). |
Responses Count | The number of professionals who have responded to the job. |
Posted Date | The date when the job was created. |

- Tap on any job in the My Jobs list to see the full details.
- The job details screen will show:
- Full job description
- Contact details (name, email, phone)
- Responses from professionals
- Job status and updates
2οΈβ£ Editing a Jobβ
- If your job is still open, you can edit details such as:
- Updating the job description
- Changing the job start date
- Modifying your contact information
- To edit a job:
- Open the job details page.
- Click the
Edit Job
button. - Make necessary changes.
- Tap
Save
to update the job.
3οΈβ£ Deleting a Jobβ
- If a job is no longer needed, you can delete it.
- Steps to delete a job:
- Open the job details page.
- Click
Delete Job
. - Confirm the deletion.
π¨ Note: Deleted jobs cannot be recovered.
4οΈβ£ Managing Responsesβ
- You will receive responses from professionals interested in your job.
- You can:
- View their quotes and profiles.
- Chat with professionals directly.
- Accept or reject offers.
5οΈβ£ Updating Job Statusβ
- Once you hire a professional or complete a job, update its status.
- Available status updates:
- Open: Job is still available.
- In Progress: A professional has been hired.
- Completed: The job has been successfully completed.
- Canceled: The job is no longer needed.
To update a job status:
- Open the job details page.
- Click the
Update Status
button. - Choose the appropriate status.
- Save the changes.

- You will receive notifications when:
- A professional responds to your job.
- A quote is received.
- Your job status changes.
β Common Issues & Fixesβ
Issue | Cause | Fix |

Job not appearing in My Jobs | Job may have been deleted or not saved properly. | Check if the job was successfully posted. |
Cannot edit job | Job is already in progress or completed. | Editing is only allowed for open jobs. |
