🔑 Password Reset

This document provides a step-by-step guide for users who forgot their password and need to reset it in the Middleman App.

📌 Password Reset Process

Step 1: Open the Password Reset Page

  1. Launch the Middleman App.
  2. Click on Forgot Password? on the Sign-In screen.
  3. You will be redirected to the Password Reset page.

Step 2: Enter Email Address

  1. Email ID: Enter the email address linked to your account.
  2. The Send Code button will remain disabled until a valid email format is entered.
  3. Click on the Send Code button to proceed.

Step 3: Receive the Verification Code

  • A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email.
  • The email will be from Microsoft on behalf of Middleman App.
  • Delivery Time: The email should arrive within 60 to 90 seconds.
  • If you do not receive the code, check your Spam/Junk folder or click Resend Code.

Step 4: Enter and Verify the Code

  1. Enter the 6-digit verification code received in your email.
  2. Click Verify Email.
  3. If the code is correct, you will proceed to the Create New Password screen.
  4. If the code is incorrect, an error message will be displayed.

Step 5: Set a New Password

  1. Enter a new password following these security guidelines:
    • At least 8 characters.
    • Must include uppercase and lowercase letters.
    • Must contain at least one number.
    • Must have at least one special character (@, !, #, etc.).
  2. Confirm New Password: Re-enter the same password for confirmation.
  3. Show/Hide Password: Use the checkbox to toggle password visibility.
  4. Click Create Password to save the new password.

Step 6: Password Update Confirmation

  • If the password is successfully updated, a confirmation message appears:

    "Your password has been successfully updated."

  • Click Log In to return to the Sign-In page and access your account with the new password.
