🔑 Password Reset
This document provides a step-by-step guide for users who forgot their password and need to reset it in the Middleman App.
📌 Password Reset Process
Step 1: Open the Password Reset Page
- Launch the Middleman App.
- Click on
Forgot Password?
on the Sign-In screen. - You will be redirected to the Password Reset page.
Step 2: Enter Email Address
- Email ID: Enter the email address linked to your account.
- The
Send Code
button will remain disabled until a valid email format is entered. - Click on the
Send Code
button to proceed.
Step 3: Receive the Verification Code
- A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email.
- The email will be from Microsoft on behalf of Middleman App.
- Delivery Time: The email should arrive within 60 to 90 seconds.
- If you do not receive the code, check your Spam/Junk folder or click
Resend Code
.
Step 4: Enter and Verify the Code
- Enter the 6-digit verification code received in your email.
- Click
Verify Email
. - If the code is correct, you will proceed to the Create New Password screen.
- If the code is incorrect, an error message will be displayed.
Step 5: Set a New Password
- Enter a new password following these security guidelines:
- At least 8 characters.
- Must include uppercase and lowercase letters.
- Must contain at least one number.
- Must have at least one special character (
@, !, #, etc.
).
- Confirm New Password: Re-enter the same password for confirmation.
- Show/Hide Password: Use the checkbox to toggle password visibility.
- Click
Create Password
to save the new password.
Step 6: Password Update Confirmation

If the password is successfully updated, a confirmation message appears:
"Your password has been successfully updated."

Click
Log In
to return to the Sign-In page and access your account with the new password.
❌ Common Errors & Fixes
Error Message | Cause | Fix |

Invalid email format | Email entered incorrectly | Ensure you enter a valid email (e.g., [email protected] ). |
Code expired or invalid | Incorrect or expired verification code | Request a new code and try again. |
Passwords do not match | New password and confirmation password are different | Re-enter both passwords correctly. |
Weak password | Password does not meet security criteria | Ensure the password includes uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character. |
